Dear Lisa,
I am writing to thank you for helping me and my husband work through our problems last year. We were in such a bad place with our marriage. I hated his family and cried all the time. Since seeing you I have bridged (like you always say) a relationship with my mother in law and am finding we really are not THAT different after all. I have 2 new hobbies knitting and fishing. Yes, fishing!! I like it because it includes family and adventure renting boats and visiting lakes and I also have some “me time” with my knitting projects. I joined a knitting club! Here’s a picture and small present to thank you.

Dear Ms. Newman,
Our son ____ was falling apart and you have helped him so much. We really were skeptical about your methods but the changes in his mood happened almost instantly. He is now a senior and actually wants to go to college. He still talks about you visiting him in the hospital and the stories you told him. he is going to study marine biology. What do you think about that? he says life is like is a big aquarium!
Merry Christmas and Happy 2017

What is Life Coaching and how is it different than therapy?
Two main ways Coaching is different than therapy is in time frame and focus. Life Coaching is future oriented therapy focuses on the past and why things are like they are. Coaching does not focus on the past so you can gain insight into your own actions. Coaching focuses on well formulated outcomes and moves in that direction. For example: client says, "I'm sad all the time." A therapist may ask questions about parenting, sibling structure and memories from the past. A Life Coach will say when was the last time you were happy and what was going on then? The session will proceed intuit direction.
Do you need to have a degree or certificate to be a Life Coach?
The answer is no and some coaches do not. Most coaches however, have been trained in some modality such as hypnosis, NLP, EFT, EMDR or CBT. I suggest finding Coaches who offer a free consultation and listen to what plan they have for you. Every Coach is different and that is good news because every person is different. Before Coaching, you only had the option of your insurance and using whomever they approved and problems are not a"one size fits all" model. So now, with the advent of Life Coaching, you can find an expert who can specifically create a plan to meet your needs emotionally and financially and usually with a full or partial money back guarantee.
Can we have sessions via SKYPE, Zoom or FaceTime?
Yes, I have access to all of those but I need to see your body and how you are sitting so I need you to have a screen bigger than your phone. I may even have you move around or adjust yourself during a session. If it is couples or family coaching then I need to have the group together in person.
Where is your office located?
I share office space in Claremont, Chino and Pomona California and work via SKYPE, Zoom and FaceTime across any timezone.
